Thyme of Provence (Thymus Officinalis) (Bag) – Franchi Sementi
Timo di Provenza. French thyme. A perennial herb. It stands about 12 inches high. Start seeds in early spring inside, transplant out after last frost date. Space 10" apart in a well drained soil. Sunny location or partial shade. These can be divided every two or three years. .5 gram packet. Approximately 6000 seeds per gram.
This perennial plant was introduced to France by the Romans and then onto the UK; Thyme from Provence is one of the most renowned. Sow it from March to June and is ready to be harvest in summer. Prefers light, cold soils, in partial shade.
The leaves and the brunch are use as seasoning for meat, fish, soups and vegetables and to do sauces too. 1g.
