Rosemary. While frequently grown from cuttings, rosemary will do well grown from seed. It is slow to germinate and requires 14-21 days @ 60 or so degrees to germinate. Sow seeds in pots or flats, cover with 1/8th inch of soil mix and keep well watered until they germinate. Transplant to individual containers once they are large enough to handle easily. Set outside and space at 18-24 inches. Rosemary is completely hardy in zones 8-10; in those areas, you can have a rosemary hedge. Traditional wisdom is that in other areas you need to dig it up and bring it inside for the winter. However, with protection from ice & snow, rosemary will survive at temperatures much lower than the often quoted 20 degrees F (-6 C). .15 gram packet. Approximately 900 seeds per gram. Rhubarb. What could be better than some sweet stewed Rhubarb with fresh cream. An Italian variety. 1g. Sow mid Jul-end Sep. Perennial suitable for areas with cooler springs. Divide every four years or so in early spring when leaves are 6-8 inches. Easy to grow. No pests bother it. Use for making sauces, with strawberries. Plant this year for next year harvest. Approximately 60 seeds. Approximately 60-80 seeds per gram.

This is a perennial plant which should start to be harvested after a year from sowing. The meaty stalks are usually used for making jams and for stewing or served with hot custard.
What could be better than some sweet stewed Rhubarb with fresh cream!
This is an Italian variety.

To be sown from mid July to the end of September and harvest the year after from May to July.
