Cippolina - chives. Tasty tender onion flavor. Perennial. Easy to grow. Just direct seed in spring, space 1 inch apart. Harvest all summer. Great in salads or for garnish for just about anything. Chicory Witloof Belgian Endive (Bag) – Franchi Sementi

Belgian Endive. 110 days. Direct seed or transplant to a 12" spacing. Plan for a fall harvest, taking 6" of root (shake off the dirt). Store in cool dry place until ready to force. Force in bucket or box in the dark at 55-60 degrees Force in a sand or sand/peat mixture, or just water around roots. Forcing takes 3-4 weeks. 10 gram packet. Approximately 600-900 seeds per gram.

Produces sweet mild yellow 'chicons'. Grow the plant, cut the green leaves (and eat them!), then place the roots in a bucket of loose light soil / sand in your shed and wait for the chicons to grow.
