Aneto — Dill. Hardy annual. Popular with new potatoes, fish, and salads. Sow in spring through mid summer in sunny sheltered location. 1-2 seeds/inch. Thin to one plant every 8 inches. Dill does not transplant well. If you let it go to seed, will self sow next year. 4 gram packet. Approximately 900 seeds per gram.
Dill is an annual herb, easy to grow. It was so important in Roman times, it was issued as standard to every garrison. The taste is strong and similar to the fennel.
The dried seeds are used as seasoning or in spirits. The fresh leaves are great with fish and soups and to make Gravadlax. 4g.
